3x3x3

3x3x3 Challenge

A challenge for those starting out

If you are struggling to commit to your fitness journey, diet plan, academic journey, spiritual journey or anything and everything. I want you to give this a try. This was the method that I used when I first started training. Initially this method was created by the legendary Elliott Hulse, the American strength coach. I was 16 when I first tried this and Im still going strong.

Break down the challenge.

The first part is commit to three days. Three days of going to the gym, going for a walk, going for a run, going to a club or whatever your chosen self improvement challenge is. It can be anything, all you have to do is commit to three days during a week, that's it.

Three days of work, three days of effort that is all.

One you have done that pat yourself on the back. Well done you have just completed the first part and an entire week of your chosen goal.

Now the next part. Complete three weeks. The next rung up the ladder and the lightly harder step. Now we both know you can do one week, all you have to do is do that three times. Once again break it down. Do one week, shake out. Do one week shake out, and before you know it you are two thirds there. Once you have completed these three weeks again pat yourself on the back, well done congratulations. Now we reset again.

The next and final part is three months. Now we know you can do one week.... followed by three weeks...…. So you know you can do a month.

All it is then, is just a matter of stamina. Use the same principles as the first few weeks break it down bit by bit, day by day. And before you know you would of completed three months. One you have done shake out, pat yourself on the back and look at where you have come from.

Add those three months to the weeks already done, and you have just spent the last four months working towards your chosen goal. That's a quarter of a year.

So my challenge to you is pick a goal, pick a journey. Commit to the 3x3x3 and see your results. Let it be the first step into your journey as it was mine.
